In support of the Green Initiative and Arbor Week Telkom organised two papermaking workshops. These were facilitated by Phumani Paper. The first workshop was for employees’ children (age 10-12) from the Gauteng region on 29 Augusts 2009. The second workshop was held for employees from the Gauteng region on 5 September 2009.
These workshops aimed to teach participants to recycle and become accountable for their paper waste in order to conserve one of our important natural resources – our trees. Through these workshops Telkom is investing in educating our employees and their children about recycling in order for them to consume and recycle responsibly.
